Setting Up the Global Yes/No Module

The Global Yes/No Module Modules are the individual elements you use to create your Information System. When you create an Information System, you are crafting a conversation between a computer and a live person. Each Module represents a single, distinct portion of that conversation. The different types of Modules are: Start, List, Multilevel, Overview, Yes/No, Goto, Hangup, Transfer, Global, Global Yes/No and Goto Project. Each Module has its own unique function and symbol. controls the Grammars used in all Confirmations and Yes/No Modules.  You can also set up Global Yes/No No Inputs and No Matches that will be used only in Confirmations and Yes/No Modules.

  1. Return to the Call Flow View.

  2. Open the Global Yes/No Module.

  3. Expand the Grammars List by clicking once on the plus sign [+] to the left of the word "Grammar The Grammar contains the words and phrases for which the program will listen in a given Module. Concepts, Phrases, Confirmations, Responses, and the Phrase Library are all part of the Grammar List. ."

  4. Expand the "NO" and "YES" Concepts.

  5. Right click on the word "Phrases Phrases are all the individual ways that a Concept could be described and are the words and phrases for which the program will listen. Phrases are marked with a double quote. Each individual Phrase that makes up the Phrases is marked by a single quote. " beneath the "YES" Concept A Concept is a general idea used to describe a group of Phrases. Phrases are the words for which the program will listen. For example, "Locations," "Your location," "Where you're located," and "Your address" are all Phrases that could be used within the Concept of "Locations." and click on "Update Phrases" in the popup menu that appears.

  6. The "Update Phrases" box will open.  Enter in all the words you would like to accept for the Concept of "YES."

  1. Click "OK."

  2. Right click on the word "Phrases" beneath the "NO" Concept and click on "Phrases" in the popup menu.

  3. The "Update Phrases" box will open.  Enter in all the words you would like to accept for the Concept of "NO."

  1. Click "OK."

Note:  Do not enter too many words to accept for Yes and No, as they may get confused if they sound too similar.  "Yeah" and "Nah," for example, sound very much alike and could be mistaken for each other.

Congratulations, you have now created a complete Speech Driven Information System!
