In addition to recording an audio reply to a message, a user may want to send a shorter, pre-defined text reply when it is known that the recipient does not have audio capabilities available. For each user of the E-Mail application, a list of predefined text replies can be stored which are then made available for use when responding to an e-mail message. This list is combined with a global list which is stored under the User Name: "--- Standard Replies ---".

For each reply in the list, a title and the actual text of the reply are stored. The title allows for the particular reply to be identified easily even when the actual text is substantially longer.
