The Assistant Client provides remote access to a single user's email account. You must enter the name of the TeleVantage server along with your TeleVantage login information.

The user can be assigned an account through one of the three types of mail servers (POP/SMTP, IMAP/SMTP and MS Exchange). For the selected account the Email address, login name and password must be entered. Passwords are not displayed and are stored in encrypted form for security.

Additionally, some SMTP servers may require separate authentication using either the incoming server's settings or a unique User Name and Password. If this is the case the 'More Settings...' button will take you to the SMTP Settings dialog to allow you to enter this information.

The third type of email access available through the Assistant is the Microsoft Exchange Server. A login name and password for the user's account are required to access the user's email even though the machine on which the Assistant is running must have "Administrator" access to the Microsoft Exchange Server.
